CONDITION : Good as a reference materials. Used.
There are cracks and repairs. Unfortunately water leaks. But it can not be helped. because this is a really old pottery. And this is worth as reference materials. Because this is the serious, really old and highest class tea bowl. And it's well worth the repair.
AGE : Over 300 yeas ago. It is the early Edo period.
This is the old original. This is never an imitation.
MATERIAL : Pottery of Raku-yaki.
Raku-yaki is a type of a Japanese traditional pottery. It is mainly formed by hand without the use of a potter's wheel. Raku-yaki is very popular with tea masters. In particular tea bowl is a very popular. It is called Raku-chawan. Great Sen no Rikyu was also love it.

SOTTAKUSAI wrote the appraisal of the inner box. The appraisal of the outer box is 13th generation KICHIZAEMON common name SEINYU.
SOTTAKUSAI is the 8th generation IEMOTO (master) of the Omotesenke family.
They appraised that this bowl was made by SONYU (1664-1716). SONYU is 5th generation KICHIZAEMON.
There are many counterfeits in their appraisals and box writing. But these are real appraisals. I guarantee it.
